How Fridge Forge works
From photos to a press-ready sheet of octagonal photo magnets in a few steps — entirely in your browser.
- 1
Pick a magnet size
From the generator, choose a preset (2×2 up to 2.5×3.5 inch) or enter a fully custom size, and your paper — 8.5×11, 11×17, or 13×19. The layout, cut lines, and how many magnets fit per sheet are set automatically.
- 2
Add your photos
Drop a photo into each magnet position. JPEG, PNG, and iPhone HEIC all work. Each photo is automatically, subject-aware cropped to the magnet face, so faces and focal points stay centered — no manual cropping.
- 3
Add wraparound text, a QR code, and order details (optional)
Type text for any edge (top, bottom, left, right) to wrap around the magnet, drop in a QR code, and add order info like the customer name, date, and order number for your own tracking.
- 4
Do a batch or a puzzle (optional)
Multi-order mode lays out several customers and several sheets in one pass — one download per sheet, order numbers restart per customer. Puzzle mode takes a single image and slices it across the whole grid so the cut magnets reassemble into one picture.
- 5
Run a free Test Print
Before a real run, generate a blank Test Print sheet to check scale and text placement against your press and die. Test Prints are always free and never count against your monthly quota.
- 6
Generate your PDF
Click Generate. Fridge Forge builds a print-ready 8.5×11 US-Letter PDF right in your browser and downloads it. Your photos are never uploaded — everything happens on your device.
- 7
Print and press
Send the PDF to your printer, then run the sheet through your die press. That's it — a full sheet of finished photo magnets.
Good to know
- Save a template
- Sign in and save your cell size, wraparound text, and font as a named template — then reload it in one click for your next order.
- iPhone photos just work
- HEIC files are converted and orientation-corrected automatically. Big photos are down-sampled to print resolution so a full sheet won't bog down your browser.
- Free vs Premium
- The free plan includes 3 real generations a month (Test Prints are free and unlimited). Premium is unlimited for $15/month — see the pricing page.
